Enterprise Systems for Changi Airport, Red Cross, and SMU
Project management at a Singapore development studio delivering permit, volunteer, donor, and management systems for institutional clients.
Context
WeesWares is a Singapore development studio building complex enterprise systems for large institutional clients. I managed delivery across three of them.
The systems
Changi Airport Group. Permit and schedules management systems for one of the world's busiest airports, where access control and scheduling errors have operational and security consequences.
Singapore Red Cross. A volunteer management system and a donor management system for a humanitarian organisation that depends on both groups staying engaged and correctly recorded.
Singapore Management University. Management systems supporting university operations.
An airport, a humanitarian organisation, and a university have almost nothing in common except the one thing that matters for delivery: every stakeholder is accountable to someone outside the project, and the system has to survive an audit.
Approach
Each engagement followed the same discipline. Requirements were traced to the client's own policies rather than to a generic template. Change was controlled, not absorbed. Testing was staged with the client's operational users, not only their IT team.
Reflection
This was the chapter that taught me compliance-heavy delivery before I ever entered a regulated manufacturer. The habits transferred directly.
